Abstract

Modifications are described for the method of carrying out hemagglutination-inhibition tests with arthropod-borne viruses. One of the modifications is based on the stability of antigens at pH 9.0 and 1°-2°C and on the possibility of incubation of antigen-antibody mixtures for at least 24 hours. The other modification consists of a simplified method for preparing sera for the tests. The changes in technic have resulted in increase in the sensitivity of the test with no loss in specificity.
