Age Changes in the Light Threshold of the Dark Adapted Eye

Abstract

Examination of 130 male individuals between the ages of 18 and 83 years indicated a significant decline with age in the sensitivity of the dark adapted eye. The decline was most marked in subjects beyond the age of 60, an age range not covered adequately in previous studies.
