Abstract

Abstract With quantitative microchemical techniques in conjunction with microdissection of lyophilized sections from biopsies of normal liver, the activity of alcohol dehydrogenase in the periportal quarter of the liver lobule was found to be three fifths of the activity in the centrolobular quarter in both rat and man.
