A New Concentration Technic for the Demonstration of Protozoa and Helminth Eggs in Feces

Abstract

Summary and ConclusionsA modification of the M.I.F. (merthiolate-iodine-formaldehyde) technic (Sapero and Lawless, 1953) for identification of stool parasites is described. This technic, utilizing the principle of sedimentation, and referred to as the M.I.F.C. (merthiolate-iodine-formaldehyde-concentration) technic, showed improved diagnostic accuracy for stool protozoa and helminth eggs.
