ABSTRACT. In Section 1 we describe a large—and expanding—set of linguistically annotated video data collected from native ASL signers. This corpus is accessible for use by the linguistics and computer science research communities and for educational purposes through a new Web-based Data Access Interface (DAI) that we have been developing to facilitate viewing, searching, and downloading relevant subsets of the data. The annotations, also available in XML format, have been carried out using SignStream®, for which a Java reimplementation with many new features (especially for efficient input of phonological information) is now underway. 1
