Diabetes is associated with cerebrovascular but not Alzheimer's disease neuropathology

Abstract

This study supports the conclusions that diabetes increases the risk of cerebrovascular but not Alzheimer's disease pathology, and at least some of diabetes' relationship to cognitive impairment may be modified by neuropathology.
