A new, simple, senstive spectrophotometric method for the quantitative determination of Adrenaline (AD), Noradrenaline (NAD), Isoxsuprine (IX) and Oxymetazoline (OM) is developed. Based on the formation of a coloured oxidative coupling product between 2,6-dichloroquinone-chlorimide and the adrenergic drug. The reaction is senstive to permit the determination of 4 ppm of AD, 12 ppm of NAD,1.2 ppm of IX and 1 ppm of OM.
