Weekly subcutaneous injections of 1,2 dimethylhydrazine into inbred ICR/Ha, randombred ICR/ Ha, C57BL/Ha, and DBA/2 mice produced tumors only in the ICR strains. Therefore, strain specificity of an organotropic chemical carcinogenesis model has been established.
