Mandarin Tone Identification in Cochlear Implant Users Using Exaggerated Pitch Contours

Abstract

These results demonstrate markedly impaired ability for CI users to identify tonal contours, but suggest that the use of exaggerated pitch contours may be helpful for tonal language perception.
