Abstract The synthesis of dithioamines, derivatives of dithiocarbamates and thiazolethiols and related compounds derived from cyclic amines is reported. Novel or alternate methods for the preparation of 2-benzothiazolyl disubstituted dithiocarbamates and 2-(iminodithio)-benzothiazoles along with their possible mechanisms are discussed.
