ABSTRACT: In order to know what are the different species of medicinal plants traditionally used by the local population of Khénifra city, a floristic and ethnobotanical study was conducted there during the years 2012 and 2013. Indeed, by using a questionnaire consisting of several items, a series of ethnobotanical surveys were conducted in that city. They allowed firstly, to collect a lot of information about local traditional healing practices in using medicinal plants for their health, and secondly, to develop a floristic catalog of the same plants. Thus, we end up by identifying 89 species belonging to 44 floristic families. From the results, we noticed that the vast majority of species of medicinal plants are used for treatment of the digestive system, and the leaves are the most usual plant organ, and the decoction is the most dominant mode of preparation.
