Supracondylar derotational osteotomy of the femur for internal rotation of the thigh in the cerebral palsied child.

Residual internal rotation of the thigh during gait in eleven patients with cerebral palsy was corrected by supracondylar femoral osteotomy. This procedure was performed in those few children who had attained relative muscle balance and who had stable hips.
