Entomol. 38: 50-61 Numerous investigations on Gamasina mites (Acari, Mesostigmata) fauna have been made in Latvia during the second half of the 20 century. There were observed and published data on various free-living species and parasites, predators and phytophagous gamasins; from wildlife, as well from greenhouses. Altogether 247 Gamasina species have been registered in the territory of Latvia.
