An experimental study was carried out to investigate the effect of the morphology of LDPE/PS blends on the mechanical properties of compression moulded specimens. Optical and Scanning Electron Microscopes were used to investigate the morphology of the polymer blends. The results of both microscopy techniques were in good agreement and permitted to explain the impact and tensile behavior of these blends. © 1987, Walter de Gruyter. All rights reserved.
