Geotechnical Parameters of Sydney Sandstone and Shale

Abstract

The deformation and strength parameters currently used for calculating rock mechanics in Sydney sandstone and shales are discussed. Details of the classification system of Sydney sandstone and shale and their engineering geology are presented, in order to provide a reference for engineering geologists, geotechnical engineers and the tunnelling industry.
