The HPV vaccine demonstration projects: we should wait, watch and learn

Abstract

This article discusses the various concerns that have been raised associated with the demonstration projects on HPV vaccines in India which range from those regarding the vulnerability of researched populations to the cost-effectiveness of the vaccines used in national programs. It touches on competing health priorities and HPV vaccine cost vaccine effectiveness unethical research practices and alternatives to the vaccine.
