Coherent Receiver Based on a Broadband Optical Phase-Lock Loop

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a 1.45GHz bandwidth optical phase-lock loop receiver for linear optical phase demodulation. Using the receiver in a link application, a spurious free dynamic range of 125 dBHz2/3is measured at 300MHz.
