The Design and Implementation of an Innovative Mobile Payment System Based on QR Bar Code

Abstract

Mobile payment is the very important and critical mobile business solution. Although the existing mobile payment system based on NFC and RFID is able to solve business problems, it requires a large number of updates to support NFC and RFID expensive hardware devices. This paper presents an innovative mobile payment system based on 2-Dimentional (2D) barcode for mobile users and discusses system architecture, design and implementation of the proposed mobile payment solution, as well as QR 2D barcode based security solutions. Unlike other existing mobile payment systems, the proposed payment solution provides distinct advantages to support buy-and-sale products and services based on 2D Barcodes. This system provides a more convenient and viable payment solutions-QR code-based payment scheme of sale terminals, its payment solutions support mobile users and mobile terminals to trade at any time and anywhere.
