Solid solutions of composition AlTh/sub 2/D/sub n/, with n = 0, 2, 3, 4, were studied by means of neutron diffraction. For n = 4 the deuterium atoms completely fill a set of equivalent Th-tetrahedra, quite similar to the arrangement in thorium hydxide. For the other compositions these sites are partly occupied. No evidence for ordering has been found, even at a temperature of 82 deg K. (auth)
