Homeless young people are frequently stereotyped, pathologised and stigmatised as hopeless, drug addicted, feral 'street kids' with severe mental health and behavioural issues. Such attitudes are usually based on simplistic assumptions and prejudice. Little data exists that can provide an accurate picture of the health and well-being of homeless young people.
