Note: This publication discusses the development and preliminary assessment of the Earlscourt Under 12 Outreach Project for Boys (ORP) multifaceted intervention for youth between the ages of 6 and 12 years who have had police contact. Six and twelve month followups after participation were conducted. The intervention includes self-control and problem-solving skill groups, individual befriending, parent training, school advocacy, and crisis intervention. 54 boys and 10 girls were included in this study. Parent ratings found significant improvements on children's behavior. For more information on the Earlscourt Under 12 Outreach Project for Boys (ORP), see VioPro record number 4069.
