Can Non-Ophthalmologists Screen for Retinopathy of Prematurity?/DISCUSSION

Abstract

These data suggest that non-ophthalmologist examiners can detect posterior pole vascular abnormalities in premature infants. If properly trained, they could possibly play a role in screening or follow-up examinations for ROP.
