A case is presented in which 18F scans demonstrated metastatic deposits in the liver from a primary osteosarcoma of the thigh. This was followed by radiographically demonstrable calcification of the liver deposits. The possible use of bone-seeking radionuclides is suggested for the preoperative evaluation of such patients.
