Natural Antioxidants Improve Red Blood Cell “Survival” in Non-Leukoreduced Blood Samples

Abstract

We conclude that the use of the mixture of natural antioxidants (carnosine, spermine, and phloretin) as an additive to blood preservative solution provides better RBCs storage and "survival".
