Kindergartners' Self-Perceptions: Theoretical and Measurement Issues

Abstract

Confirmatory factor analysis of the Pictorial Scale of Perceived Competence and Social Acceptance for Young Children supported the hypothesis that kindergartners' self-concepts are multidimensional. Both theoretical and practical measurement concerns are discussed.
