Our first aim was to investigate the effect of NaCl on proline accumulation and chlorophyll setting from glutamate during the growth of radish cotyledons. Our second objective was to determine the contribution of the ornithine pathway to the proline synthesis in saline conditions as arginine, wich is the precursor of ornithine, is also abundant in radish seed proteins. Finally, we intended to experiment with gabaculine wich is a well-known inhibitor of transaminases
