Abstract

The upper lobe of the right lung that contained cryptococcosis was resected in a patient in whom pulmonary tuberculosis later developed. Only 15 cases of combined cryptococcal and tuberculous infections have been previously described; this is the first case in which the 2 diseases did not occur simultaneously. No causal relationship can be predicated, and the presence of both diseases in the same patient was probably coincidental.
