PhI(OCOCF₃)₂-mediated ruthenium catalyzed highly site-selective direct ortho-C–H monoarylation of 2-phenylpyridine and 1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole and their derivatives by arylboronic acids

Abstract

Direct <italic>ortho</italic> C–H monoarylation of 2-phenylpyridine and 1-phenyl-1<italic>H</italic>-pyrazole and its derivatives <italic>via</italic> a Ru catalysed reaction using catalytic amount of Phl(OCOCF₃)₂ as a hyper-valent iodine oxidant with arylboronic acids is presented.
