Carotid intima-media thickness correlation with lipid profile in patients with familial hypercholesterolemia versus controls.

Abstract

In this study, CIMT was found to be significantly increased in familial hypercholesterolemia and it correlated with raised LDL-cholesterol. Both are predictive of premature cardiovascular diseases.
