Morphological and cultural variability of eight isolates of Sclerotium rolfsii were studied based on their growth rate, colony colour, mycelial dispersion and appearance and sclerotium formation, colour, weight and number of sclerotia, arrangement and maturity days of sclerotia using two solid media viz; PDA and CDA. Significant variability with reference to mycelial and sclerotial characters across isolates of S.rolfsii, isolated from different locations of Southern zone of Andhra Pradesh was observed. In vitro evaluation of new fungicide mixtures revealed that, carbendazim + Mancozeb and Hexaconazole + Zineb could control the test pathogen even at 250 ppm.
