Cluster chemistry. VII. Some reactions of Ru3(CO)11(CNBut) with CO or Group 5B donor ligands: a route to mono- and di-substituted derivatives of Ru3(CO)12

Abstract

The complex Ru3(CO)11(CNBut) is shown to react with CO or ligands (L) containing P, As or Sb as donor elements, by displacement of CO or CNBut, thus affording a new route to complexes Ru3(CO)11L [L = CO, PPh3, P(C6H4Me- p )3 or Pcy3] and Ru3(CO)10(CNBut)L [L = CNBut, PPh3, P(C6H4Me- p )3, PCy3, AsPh3 or SbPh3].
