Investigation of the relation between heavy metal contamination of soil and its magnetic susceptibility

2. The sampling from the region is carried out periodically to observe the trends in pollution with time and to project predictions for the future. The soil profiles of 30 cm deep samples taken from 13 sampling stations at different coordinates that were suspected to be contaminated with heavy metals are investigated by Magnetic Susceptibility (MS) measurements both on site and in the laboratory.
