Complete spectroscopic characterization (FTIR, FT-Raman, 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, GC/MS, and EI-HRMS) is presented for the hydrochloride salts of 3,4-methylenedioxymethcathinone (methylone), 1-(1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-2-(methylamino) butan-1-one (bk-MBDB), and 4-methylmethcathinone (mephedrone). These three methcathinone analogs were synthesized in our laboratory as reference materials for comparison with submitted exhibits. Additionally, the identification of bk-MBDB is reported in tablets which are available over the internet.
