Appropriateness of platelet, fresh frozen plasma and cryoprecipitate transfusion in New South Wales public hospitals

Abstract

In terms of the NHMRC/ASBT guidelines on use of blood products, there is considerable inappropriate transfusion of platelets, FFP and cryoprecipitate in NSW public hospitals.
