This paper presents a generalized Chua-type vector hysteresis model to describe both the static and dynamic vector magnetic properties of electrical steel sheets. The proposed model takes into account all significant harmonic components of the measured H -waveforms, thus it provides precise prediction of H -waveforms even under highly saturated magnetic flux densities under alternating, rotating, and distorted magnetic fields conditions. The validity of the proposed vector hysteresis model was investigated by comparison to experimental results under various magnetic field conditions for both the non-oriented and grain-oriented silicon steel sheets.
