Stretching modulates oxytalan fibers in human periodontal ligament cells

Abstract

These results suggest that tension strain functionally regulates microfibril assembly in periodontal ligament fibroblasts and thus may contribute to the homeostasis of oxytalan fibers in periodontal ligaments.
