A Trap for Studying the Attacking Behaviour of Black Flies, <i>Simulium arcticum</i> Mall

Abstract

A study of the attacking behavior of Simulium arcticum Mall., an important pest of livestock in Saskatchewan, is required to guide livestock management practices during outbreaks. Such a study has been hampered by the lack of a convenient device for obtaining collections representative of attacking populations.
