Abstract

Schrödinger colors are optimal if and only if the spectrum locus in a chromaticity diagram is convex and well ordered in wavelength. The human spectrum locus has this property, but the bee spectrum locus does not. A general algorithm is described for generating the optimal colors for any tristimulus space.
