Abstract. Monoclonal antibodies specific to Bonamia ostreae (Ascetospora), the intrahaemocytic parasite of the flat oyster, Ostrea edulis L., were used in an indirect fluorescent antibody assay, firstly to define the subcellular location of their epitopes and, secondly, as a means of diagnosis of the disease.
