Association Between Hypermethylated Tumor and Paired Surgical Margins in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinomas

Abstract

Our results support the hypothesis that detection of gene promoter hypermethylation in HNSCC tumor cells-free surgical margins may be a helpful biomarker to identify molecularly altered fields in areas adjacent to the tumor.
