From disorder to order and back: Contrary to all earlier studies on [Fe(2-pic)3]Cl2⋅EtOH (pic=picolylamine), an ordered phase (IP) with two crystallographically different iron sites was found between disordered high-spin (HS) and low-spin (LS) phases. The picture shows the average FeN distances of all three phases.
