Abstract

A highly stabilized technique for the amplitude and phase measurements of electric fields in the reactive near field of a sophisticated high-frequency antenna array set is presented. Amplitude and phase instability problems, which often occur in high-frequency electromagnetic metrology methods based on all-dielectric electrooptic sensing, have been overcome by real-time calibration of the system drift. The performance of our reactive-near-field imaging system, as well as its merits in antenna analyses and metrology, is introduced by exploring a 4 × 4 patch antenna array.
