Genotypic characterization of <i>Porphyromonas gingivalis</i> isolated from Swedish patients with periodontitis and from periodontal abscesses

Abstract

The present study demonstrated that Swedish P. gingivalis isolates exhibit a wide variety of genotypes with only a weak clustering pattern. No predominant genotype at the whole chromosomal DNA level was present among Swedish P. gingivalis strains.
