Abstract

An ion cyclotron resonance study reveals that alkoxide ions react easily with 1,1-difluoroethylene in the gas phase to yield a species CH 2 CFO − . Rate parameters, thermochemical estimates and a rationalization for the mechanism are presented briefly.
