Abstract

Recent results from decentralized control theory [1] are used to derive conditions for determining when a linear system ( <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">C_{P},A_{P}, B_{P}</tex> ), parameterized by <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">P</tex> , is controllable or canonical for all but an exceptional set of values of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">P</tex> .
