Abstract The crystal structure of hexagonal polythiomethylene is described. It has a hexagonal unit cell with a = 5.07 Å. and c = 36.52 Å. The polymer chains are helicoidal with the axis of the helix parallel to c . In the unit cell are comprised 17 CH 2 Sunits and 9 turns of the helix.
