Coding for the mimo broadcast channel

Abstract

In this work, we analyze the perfor- mance of different coding techniques for the multiple- input multiple-output (MIMO) Gaussian broadcast channel. We begin by considering the case where the channel is known at the transmitter and receiver to compare different coding schemes. We also consider the case where the channel is only known at the re- ceiver, for which we derive practical coding schemes that approach closely the theoretical limits.
