Localized pemphigoid should be added to the differential diagnosis of vulvar lesions. Dermatologists, pediatricians, and gynecologists should be familiar with nonvenereal diseases that can exclusively affect this area. The dermatologist's expertise is particularly valuable in differentiating between primary diseases and sexual abuse.
