This paper describes a new digital pupillometer based on an infrared closed-circuit television system. The instrument displays the instantaneous pupil diameter in digital and/or analog mode. The sensitivity is better than 0.02 mm of full scale and linearity is better than 1%. Its frequency response is flat to 15 cps with a rise time less than 25 msec.
