The small-signal transfer function from duty cycle to inductor current is derived for the boost DC-DC converter operating in continuous conduction mode (CCM). The transfer function is found for two cases, the converter with a resistive load, and with a current sink load. The derivations are performed using an averaged circuit small-signal model of the boost converter for CCM. The transfer function can be used to model the current loop of boost PWM converters with peak current-mode control (PCM).
